The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
