Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden significant honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he earlier was, and would definitely think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
